It was an absolute pleasure to see Year 11 students celebrating at their Prom, held on Thursday 30 June at The Stone Manor. This year group have continued to amaze us, with their hard work, commitment to their studies, and determination to succeed. Let us not forget that two years of their learning was disrupted by the pandemic, but they carried on regardless, maximising every opportunity that came their way. The Prom saw students in lots of beautiful dresses, stunning suits, very high heels (most of which were taken off half way through the night!) and some very impressive dancing. Several staff had the pleasure of joining the party, but special mention must go to Miss Billingham and Mrs Harrison who did the most wonderful job organising a spectacular event. Thank you Year 11, its goodbye for now, but please keep in touch. We’ll miss you.
Friends of Ridgewood hosted an event after school on Wednesday to mark the unveiling of a memorial bench for Kate Parkes to her friends and family. Kate was a true friend to Ridgewood and supported the RHSA for over thirty years. As Mr Tivey said in his speech, "She was the best example of a good person." We hope the bench and flowers will be appreciated by Ridgewood pupils for many years to come.
Friends of Ridgewood need more volunteers to help with events and fundraising. If you can spare some time and could support, please contact us via the school.
